What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathic medicine emphasizes prevention, treatment, and strive for the optimum health for its patients through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage patients to develop a self-healing process.  The practice of naturopathic medicine integrates modern, traditional, scientific, and other holistic methods.

It is the predecessor to what we call medicine today ~ doing our best to find the cause of symptoms and supporting the body in healing itself with help from what nature has provided ~ organic healthy food, herbs, fiber, vitamins and minerals, adequate water, sunlight, salves, detoxification and most importantly good diet ~ and a healthy attitude!

The beginning of the 1900’s Naturopathy was replaced by medicine supported by the pharmaceutical industry and many colleges were not allowed to teach naturopathy.  Life happens!    We slowly started to see a resurgence of natural health until finally California recognized Naturopathy in 2007/8 – almost 100 years later.
